A breakthrough has been made in the murder investigation of Ryan Zindi, who was brutally killed in Chikanga, Mutare, on March 14, 2025. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested two suspects, Dylan Mudia (26) and Athell Mukondyo (23), in connection with Zindi's death.

According to eyewitnesses, Zindi was accused of stealing car keys and a phone by the two suspects. In a fit of rage, Mudia and Mukondyo allegedly beat Zindi with a hoe handle, severely injuring him. Zindi later succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family and community in shock.

The ZRP has confirmed that the two suspects are being held in custody and are assisting with further investigations. The police have urged anyone with information about the murder to come forward and assist with the investigation.

The community has expressed relief that the suspects have been apprehended, but many are still reeling from the shock of Zindi's brutal murder. The incident has highlighted concerns about crime and safety in the area, and residents are calling for increased police presence and community engagement to prevent such incidents in the future.

As the investigation continues, the ZRP has assured the public that justice will be served, and those responsible for Zindi's murder will be held accountable.
